I have seen a very obvious shift from wedding ceremonies held at a church compared to the present, where many couples are holding their ceremony at the wedding facility.
Back in the 90s, only about 25% of couples had a ceremony on site at the facility they have their reception. Now the number is about 50%. Many facilities have added beautiful gardens with waterfalls, or beach front gazebos. For what ever the reason, wedding ceremonies at a church are not a forgone conclusion anymore. It is for this reason that many of our clients are electing to have wedding ceremony.
One of our most popular options is Live Music. In 2005, we added a Live Music division. Now our music troop has 17 professional musicians from the Hartford Conservatory of Music. We can provide everything from a soloist, right down to a full string quartet. Instruments featured are Violin, Viola, Cello, Flute, Oboe, and Trumpet.
What makes live music such a popular option is the visual beauty that is added to the music. Guests can enjoy true artists creating the music live in front of their eyes. It certainly adds to the wedding experience. For the bride walking down the aisle, having her music played for her by a group creates the romantic moment that every Cinderella is looking for!
The one thing to keep in mind is that there are professional and amateurs, just like with DJs. Choose carefully because you will hear obvious difference from a professional musician and a student trying to make a few extra dollars. View our live classical musicians for wedding ceremonies, where you can watch a video sample. You can also listen to song clips on our live music audio samples page.
Where ever you hold your wedding ceremony, live music will add that extra special touch!
